We're weakening on the whole "should we find out the gender" issue. I'm inclined to believe that, like Schrödinger's Cat, the Sprout won't have an actual gender until such time as a gender is observed. I know, it sounds stupid, but have you ever had the feeling that a hand of cards dealt to you does not have actual numbers & symbols on it until the moment you pick it up? No?

Maybe I'm just superstitious.

The Boy would like to focus on finding an appropriate name. For now, Una is his favourite girl name, and while he has pitched Phillip for a boy, I told him that if, and only if, I gave birth to conjoined boy twins, I would consent to calling the babies Phillip and Dick. I'm not big on Phillip - it's the name of one of my least favourite uncles. You don't want to get into the namesake territory unless you're sure of what you're doing. Richard (Dick) is also a pass for me, as it's just a bit too Shakespearean historical play for my taste. "I also had a Richard," and so on.

Anyway, we need to have our strategy clear when we walk into the ultrasound room in two weeks, because if we're not, we'll be sure to crack under pressure.
