Today I went to the launch of the new Krispy Kreme in B.C. I ate seven doughnuts (the traditional, warm, gooey kind) and had some truly disgusting coffee. K.K. is infamous for its bad coffee.
It was a slightly surreal experience. Every few minutes one of the employees would yell "crispy!!" (or "krispy", I couldn't tell) and every other employee would yell "cream!!" (or "kreme"... you get the idea). Other fun things they would yell included "if I say sprinkles"... "i say chocolate". Yes, fans, surreal. And it took me ten minutes and the intervention of a manager to get my disgusting coffee.
Nevertheless, good times were had by all.
Tomorrow I am going for rollerblade around Stanley Park in the hope that I will atone for at least one of the seven yummy sins I consumed. But I should really be awarded extra points for the bad coffee. If only carbs were that easy to take away.
