It's Saturday in the Valley, once again. Although we went grocery shopping, I tried to stem the growing tide of lameness by refusing to go to the petting zoo display in the park. I'm getting to the point where ironic or nostalgic or retro fun isn't any fun. I need some real fun, damn it. So I've decided to swallow my fears & head down to the campus bar for dancing & drinking. I'm told that by 10 o'clock on a typical Saturday, the dance floor is four deep in Education students. I'm not sure if I find that reassuring or not.

We'll see.

I completed my last assignment for social studies methods class yesterday, which is a relief. Every other class has final projects scheduled for the last week. That should be fun. Especially since I've only just figured out how to use the library catalogue…thank god for my position with the Department. Doing someone else's research is turning into a low-stress way for me to figure out the resource situation here. On Thursday I actually felt a moment of nostalgia for Robarts, the digestion-disrupting 13-story concrete castle of turkeyness. (You know you've got a serious case of homesickness when…)

Last night I had beautiful dreams, full of love & happiness & a cast of thousands. This is a good thing…I haven't enjoyed my nights in a long time, and it takes some of the edge off being strong & capable during the day when I'm not being chased by education students-cum-vampires in the night.

The wedding pages are coming along beautifully. Soon you'll be able to see a whole bunch of people in formal wear, plus my amusing quotes. Could anything be better??
