Today is Q's 27th birthday. I called, but there was no answer. I choose to interpret this positively.

I've been having a bugger of a time with this page lately. Every time I get an entry uploaded, the goddamn computer crashes. Monday it went down 5 times before I got the hint & went to bed. Tonight it's already gone once...

...excuse me, twice. Fucking piece of crap, I oughtta weld the thing on to a length of chain & use it as an anchor and I would if it didn't hold a partially completed script written by Scherezade & myself 4 years ago. You just never know when inspiration will strike.

Work sucked today, but my evening was grand. My parents & I met with the guy who runs the reception hall, in order to figure out all the details like the house dj equipment (none), the due date for a head count (the Tuesday before) and the amount of meat in the dishes (none, with the exception of the chicken portion itself). I'm extremely pleased with the way everything's working out. I also like the manager - he's this strange mixture of serious & flip, gruff & friendly. I wouldn't ever want to be on his bad side, but I'm glad he's in charge of the place. Security is nice.

Another purchase tonight was 400 sheets of linen-look ivory paper for the church programs. My pride is on the line here - not only to I love good paper, but I also complained loudly at Nic's confirmation last Thursday when the church programs ran out 20 minutes before the service began. Effin' papists, I'll show 'em a thing or two about how we Protestants do bulletins.

On a related note of sublimity, it seems that team clergy is actually very happy & comfortable with their roles. I got a very positive email from the Preacher Lady tonight, so positive in fact that I wondered if Agamemnon wasn't holding her hostage. Nah. It's not that I'd put it past him; it's that he's in Alberta. Or so he'd like me to believe...
