Scott as Christ:an exhaustive photo essay of The Death & Burial of ChristRight after a serious taunting by the soldiers. Matt (a PLS regular & a very nice guy) giggles as he slouches off-stage on the left. Oh, what fun it is to offer a crucified man a sponge full of vinegar! Mary, however, misses the humour & keeps her head down & her eyes glued to her lines. He's finally dead. Like a troublesome drunk, the limp & unresisting body of Christ is carried to a conveniently-placed winding sheet. Apparently the fireman's carry is a culture universal. A rather suggestive moment to be caught in. John (Jesus' "brother"...uh huh...) crouches over the prone form of Scott, just before he gets tied up in a shroud. Christ is lowered into the coffin. Joseph of Aramathea (on the right) only dropped him once in 4 performances. But Scott got to keep the coffin, so that's ok. V V V And thus we conclude the crucifixion saga. I hope you had as good a time reading it as I did procrastinating; finally coding it 2 months after the event. york cycle home : photo album : mail
