hart house courtyard (memories of medea)

kilt & bride

Another lovely picture of Scott & I.

There are pictures of us everywhere - two Fireballs, the Savage Garden, subway stations, his porch, my res room, national monuments, house parties - but I think ths is one of my favourites. His presence in all those pictures proves two things to me: he's always ready for fun (unless he's sleeping) and he dresses up well.

And really, what more is there?

The Groom and the Maid of Honour stand in front of an abstract sculpture and wonder what it all means.

James & Jean, getting along. Aren't they picture-perfect?

Jean is making her third go at the position of maid of honour, having filled that role for her older sister Mary in September of 1998 and reprised the character for her mother's wedding in July of 1999. This is, however, the "formal-est" wedding she's ever been affiliated with.

I like her a whole lot. It just seemed natural to cast her in this role again - so we did.

When I was five and my brother Nic was three, he stabbed me in the arm with a pencil. The tip remains embedded in my tender young flesh. Here, I show him the mark.

This shot is called Guilt trip.

(although off campus, no retrospective is complete without) the moose

the bull takes a wife

There was a time in the world when a city's fame did not rest on contrived exhibitions. That time is not the present. In Toronto on the day of the wedding, for instance, there was an exhibit called "Moose on the Loose!" that allowed local businesses to sponsor local artists in the creation of commercial art. In consequence, there were moose sculptures everywhere, luring in tourist trade and thoroughly disgusting the cool locals. Here I stand in front of the department store William Ashley's, where a bride and groom moose hold court over the block.

If nothing else, this proves that there's nothing funnier than a moose.
