6:30am. I'm in Toronto. I've been awake for an hour and a half already.
Jet lag sucks ass. It sucks monkey ass. And for once, Dave is actually asleep at this hour.
Anyway, for those of you who care, merry christmas. For those of you who don't, here's a weird Michael Jackson link. I mean, I knew it looked weird, but when you put it like this...
Checking my email for two seconds to get my flight information has now turned into posting on my blog.
It's 12:46am according to my clock and I still have a billion things to pack. And I'm a bit drunk.
Pathetic.
Anyway. For those of you in Toronto, I'll see you soon. Hopefully, I'll be able to get in touch with you to at least say hello before I jet off to Cali. More importantly, I hope I'll be able to see you when I jet back. I can be reached at my parents' phone number. Email if you've forgotten it and I'll send it to you expeditiously.
For those of you in Nederland, best holiday wishes and all that type of stuff. I'll miss you lots but I'll be back soon enough. With presents!
For Bart especially, great big kisses. I really do miss you already. Next time we have an affair, I guarantee it'll rock more that anything that has ever rocked before. Anyway, we'll do more than occasionally get drunk.
A couple of days ago I borrowed the world's biggest MP3 collection from a friend (my new best friend, in fact, for whom I will bake a huge batch of cookies). He has a lot of music I like and actually a whole lot of music I've never heard of, so I thought this would be a good way to get some new music and fill some gaps in my music collection.
What's actually happened is that I was so excited by finding Orbital on here that all I've been doing is listening to The Box over and over.
Two years ago, if you'd told me I'd be sitting here in my apartment in the Hague, listening to a band from the former Yugoslavia and well, enjoying it, I'd probably laugh. I'd maybe even add a cruel taunt about the state of your crumbling mental health and go back to dipping my spicy tuna roll into my soy sauce.
And yet here we all are. And I'm not even sorry I made fun of you. posted by Alleen at 12:12:28 PM
