Oh yeah... Queen's night was spent in den haag wandering the streets and drinking. I went home only to discover a woman passed out in the doorway of a house two doors down. I and another gentleman helped her home where she proceeded to tell the man how wonderful and sweet I was and why couldn't her children be more like me. Then she passed out and I left.

Queen's Day I went to Amsterdam, hung out at a random party somewhere, but had more fun wandering the streets and looking at all the craziness. I bought myself a red army belt buckle, and some other random stuff. I went home at a reasonable hour and slept. Madness all around.

I can't seem to overcome my laziness regarding the stuff I haven't written about yet and it's making me not write about what's going on now. So... quick solution.

Travels with Mum: We went to Brussels. There was chocolate, big statues, large imposing buildings, the Atomium, a little boy peeing, and waffles. Wonderful delicious waffles. We went to Maastricht. Charming Dutch city with a flea market right outside the train station. I bought matching Jesus and Mary prints. Mom bought a bucket. All were happy. Then we went to a couple of really old churches and looked at relics. FYI: Mary Magdalene and I have the same colour hair. Favourite moment: the armbone of St. John encased in an actual golden arm pointing upwards with two fingers. We went to Antwerp. We were there for a total of two hours since all mom wanted was to look at the Cathedral. We looked at it. We went to Bruges. Charming and chock-full of relics and tourists. They have Jesus's blood here, stored in a vial in a place called the Chapel of the Precious Blood. We ate traditional Bruges food. We went to Ghent. We spent a total of three hours here because we had to go back. Mom wanted to see Gravensteen, a medieval castle in the middle of the city. It was old and had many exciting things in it including the museum of justice where you could see an actual guillotine, a rack, and some other fun stuff. Mom strongly disapproved but refused to leave until she'd read, looked at and analysed every exhibit.

Back to Den Haag. The next day, Mom left. The day after I went to Finland. Helsinki was pretty, quiet and cold. I met some cool people, had a good time, looked at historic buildings, went to a couple museums, and the island fortress of Suomenlinna, ate delicious soy ice cream, learned to say thank you in Finnish, bought a patch that identifies me as an Espoo Rocker and a bottle opener made of reindeer antler, and then left. Props to Aidan, Eino, and my German friend who all made sure I had a good time. Pictures below.

Since then my schedule has managed to thwart all travelling attempts. I moved while my dad was visiting and am now living in a hip downtown flat over a bakery with roommate Tymothi. Yesterday I went to the Music in my Head festival where my friend spent an hour chatting to Badly Drawn Boy (who turns out to be short, and sort of cute and fuzzy... like an ewok in a hat) and I saw a total of two bands since a prior social commitment made me leave early. Still, both Incense and Tom McCrae were pretty cool.

Right now, I'm eating strawberries, fighting a headache and contemplating going to the Music in my Head festival tonight.

All caught up. If you require elaboration, then just ask and I'll try and make an effort. I can't promise anything though.
