I don't feel like writing about Edinburgh yet. I think that I will listen to some music and then take a walk.

Right now I'm listening to the first 7-inch from Maximum RNR, the band for whom I'm supposedly making an album cover.

You can find out more about them here. The bio is lame and there's almost no pictures, but you can download one of their songs I think, but I like the other one on this CD better. It's delicious.

Gblah.

I am one dumb little monkey. Yesterday, I got to the airport at 5:40, under the impression that my flight left at 6:40am. I was immediately disabused of this notion when I got up to the check-in counter only to find a very hostile Scottish woman putting up a closed sign. My flight was scheduled to leave at 6:10am and the check-in closes half an hour before a flight and this lady had no intention of letting me through, come hell or high water. I begged, I pleaded, I made my cute pouty face, all to no avail. I was sent back to the ticket office and told that they could put me on the next flight, which was a 2:45... an hour after I had to be at work. So I ran over to the KLM ticket desk, who said they could put me on their next flight at 9:25am, but I would have to pay 250 pounds. After a quick mental calculation, (a bit shy of 650 dollars), I decided against it and settled in to wait for my flight.

Eight fun-filled hours later, I was on a plane. I made it home at 7pm, minutes after court had ended for the day. I had already called in, so there was no problem of getting someone to work for me, but I felt bad so I called in to apologise to the person who had so kindly taken my hours. At some point during this conversation, my co-worker told me that court had been moved to the morning the next day and that I had to be at work at 9am.

Of course, I completely didn't register this. Of course not. I didn't make this connection until sometime around 10:30am this morning when my co-workers started frantically calling my house. I got in to work around 11:20am, two and a half hours late.

Oops.

So, anyway, my trip to Ediburgh was great, I had a fantastic time and I intend to go again, but... I just needed to get that out. Hopefully my evening will be disaster free and I'll be able to write it all down.

Oh yeah, and good luck to Servos, who is embarking on his great Polish adventure today.

So, I'm in Edinburgh, it's Sunday night and tomorrow morning at 6am, I'm jetting back to the Netherlands. What am I doing in my last few hours in the city? I'm checking my e-mail of course. I have about two seconds to wrap this up before I have to go and pick up my take-out pizza, so later skaters.
