Well, to update on the sleep situation, the past few nights have been hellish attempts at getting to sleep earlier than 3am. I've been working the early shift this week, which means that I need to wake up at 7am to be able to have breakfast and go to work. In this context, sleeping at 3am is a bit of a problem. On the other hand, forcing yourself to sleep at 11pm when you're not even vaguely tired results in bad things as well... like calling up friends and asking them to bore you to sleep. This is guaranteed not to work because your friends are immediately going to tell you the most interesting things they can think of. If anyone wants to talk about physics and why the math in Good Will Hunting isn't really that hard, then give me a call around midnight. I'll probably be looking for you.

Today, by some complete fluke, I have the late shift. So I managed to sleep in until 8am. Thank you, neighbour with the loud alarm, thank you very much. Still, I guess oversleeping would have been kind of a bad idea considering that I need to get on some kind of schedule.

Sleep, or lack thereof, has taken over my life. Yesterday, in an effort to get to sleep early, I ate a huge meal, fairly late in the day. Consequently, I ended up falling asleep in front of the TV at 9pm. I woke up around midnight to late night Dutch porn. Nothing is more fun than porn with a plot and Dutch subtitles. This morning, I woke up to the most bizarre dreams and horrible indigestion. I will not describe my dreams... I will lock them away and never think about them again.

I saw Bowling for Columbine the other day, though I missed the first 15 minutes because I can't be on time for anything. Good movie. Very freaky. But it was kind of fun watching Michael Moore wandering around the Annex trying people's front doors to see if they were open. That was good for a laugh at least, especially when the people whose doors he opened stopped to chat rather than yelling at him. It was one of those proud-to-be-a-canadian moments.

Anyway, in other news, I discovered that the Massive Attack tickets aren't on sale yet. So I'm forced to wait. Also, I'm looking forward to my trip to Edinburgh this Friday. By all accounts it looks like a really cool place.
