I'm going to live the life that I sing about in my song, I'm going to stand for right and always shun the wrong If I'm in the crowd or if I'm alone on the street or in my home I'm going to live the life I sing about in my song. I'm going to cry if I'm alone Out on the street or in my home. I'm going to live the life that I sing about in my song. Every day, every way, on a busy thoroughfare, Some folks haunt me, And they taunt me, Say I'm a fool. I don't care. I night go to church, sing out on Sunday Out at night and raise hell on Monday. I'm going to live the life I sing about in my song.

So, did y'all miss me? Were you all sitting around, despairing (a la Scarlett O'Hara) wondering what will become of you?
Well, I'm sorry to say that you'll likely have to put up with it a little longer. ICTY internet access is still not up to full speed meaning that I can either answer e-mails or post to the blog and most of the time, I can't do either without spending a really long time here after I'm done work. So, I'm sorry, I love you, but it ain't gonna happen.
Anyway. Nothing exciting to report. I've cancelled my trip to Vienna this weekend because of a last minute work schedule change and I bought a rail pass for my two week vacation in August. The whole of Europe at my feet, huh? Could it be more exciting? I think not. I'm planning to visit the Czech republic and possibly Hungary and possibly (just to please my mother) Denmark. I know they aren't all in the same direction, but hey, what's the point of a rail pass except to travel a lot in a hideously uncomfortable manner?
I'm heading to Amsterdam this weekend (again) to check out Saturday courses at the Free University.
Also, right now the Netherlands is going through the coldest July in history. Apparently, August might be better. But it might not. I am convinced that this country wants to go back to the sea. I'm not really sure why the Dutch want to fight it, at this point. It's not like they've built a tropical paradise here or something.
Anyway. The server will shut down on me in a minute, no doubt. So that's going to have to be it. Ta. posted by Alleen at 4:41:56 PM
