At present I am actively seeking employment in Web design / development. My previous work in the IT world has included commercial software product development, GUI design, computer telephony information (CTI) system design, database integration, CD-ROM mastering (for audio, data, and mixed mode, PC and Mac platform), graphic design, web development, and consulting on everything from MIDI engineering to Web business solutions. It would be fair to say that I am an avid computer enthusiast as I have been programming since I taught myself BASIC in the third grade.

I seek a junior level position in Web design or eCommerce that will offer me opportunity for rapid advancement as I show excellence and advancement in my skills. At present my web coding skills include DHTML4 using CSS and Javascript. I have been studying and will continue to pursue competence in CGI, Perl script, and JAVA. I will go on to learn Vbscript, ASP, CFML, PHP, and XML. I can do some coding using text editors but prefer to use Allaire Homesite when possible. I do not use WYSIWYG editors of any kind, though I am familiar with Macromedia Dreamweaver and MS Front Page.

I have five years experience working with Adobe Photoshop and am competent with Adobe Illustrator, Corel Draw 8, Macromedia Fireworks and Flash. I am familiar with and frequently use a host of Photoshop plugins.

My ideal position would allow me to start in client side web design and allow me to grow into server side development as my proficiency with JAVA increases. I am very interested in participating in the extension of the Internet as a new entertainment media.

I am willing to consider relocation options in Vancouver, Montreal, Toronto, Chicago, San Francisco, Europe, and Japan.

I prefer casual working environments and employers that allow some work from home options. I consider time to be the greatest commodity. I appreciate employers that can help me save time.
